| Family Farm Life Experience a look into farm life in the 1900s to today. What use to be common in the backyards of the United States is slowly disappearing. Together we will learn about common farm animals. Chickens and Eggs Take an in depth look at the chicken and the egg. We will determine what ways eggs can be hatched and different forms of eggs. (Note - we need at least 4 weeks notice for this class) Learn to Observe By using our observation skills, we will learn how to identify similarities and differences in animal characteristics and behaviors. Animal Math Have you ever been asked, “When will I ever use math in real life?” We will show you and your students how math is an everyday occurrence when raising livestock and running a farm. The students will see for themselves, in their own mock farm, if they can do the math. Literary Animals This class uses animals to explore literature. Depending on your class level, we can use animals to learn sounds, words, or even work on comprehension and writing skills. These are just a small sampling of what is possible. Classes can be specific to any farm animal and any age group. They also can be combined in any way. |
